1. Overview

ReferralTracker ("the App", "we", "our") is developed and maintained by Jason Chua ("Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights in relation to that information.

ReferralTracker does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. All data you enter into the App remains exclusively on your device.

2. Information We Collect

ReferralTracker does not collect any information. The App operates entirely on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No account registration is required and no personal information is sent to any server operated by the Developer or any third party.

The following data may be stored locally on your iPhone by the App:

This information is stored solely on your device and is never transmitted externally.

3. Camera Access

The App requests access to your iPhone's camera to allow you to photograph referral documents. Camera access is used only at the moment you initiate a scan. Images are processed on your device using Apple's Vision framework for text recognition (OCR). No images are transmitted to any server.

You may revoke camera access at any time in Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Camera โ†’ ReferralTracker. The App will continue to work with manually entered data if camera access is denied.

4. Calendar Access

The App may request access to your Apple Calendar (via Apple's EventKit framework) if you choose to add an appointment date to your calendar. Calendar access is used only to create, update, or remove calendar events associated with referrals you explicitly choose to track.

Calendar data is handled by iOS and is subject to Apple's privacy practices. The Developer does not have access to your calendar data. You may revoke calendar access at any time in Settings โ†’ Privacy & Security โ†’ Calendars โ†’ ReferralTracker.

5. On-Device Text Recognition (OCR)

ReferralTracker uses Apple's Vision framework to extract text from photos of referral documents. This process runs entirely on your device. No image data, extracted text, or document content is sent to the Developer or any third party at any point.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data created within ReferralTracker is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, which benefits from the security protections built into iOS, including hardware-level encryption when your device is locked.

Your data is protected by your iPhone's passcode and biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID). The Developer cannot access your data remotely.

If you enable iCloud Backup or back up your device via Finder or iTunes, your App data will be included in those backups. Backups are managed and encrypted by Apple in accordance with Apple's privacy policy.

7. Third-Party Services

ReferralTracker does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or data-enrichment services. No third-party SDKs are included in the App that collect or transmit data.

The App uses only Apple's first-party frameworks: SwiftUI, SwiftData, Vision, and EventKit.

8. Children's Privacy

ReferralTracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. As the App collects no information from any user, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

9. Health Information Disclaimer

ReferralTracker is a personal organisation tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always follow the guidance of your qualified healthcare provider.

Health-related information stored in the App is held locally on your device and is not used for any purpose other than displaying it back to you within the App.

10. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times:

The Developer does not hold a copy of your data and therefore cannot fulfil data access or deletion requests on your behalf beyond the controls available within the App and iOS itself.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be published at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
